I'm Guillermina.

Profile

I'm an Argentinean data scientist focused on data visualization and creative coding. I am interested in the intersection between beauty and data. You can read more about my data journey here.

Experience

I joined Datawrapper as a Product Specialist in March 2022, where I focus on creating content and helping users get the most out of the tool through (almost weekly) public webinars, by hosting data visualization book clubs, and answering users questions via email.

From September 2015 to February 2022, I worked at the Cato Institute (Washington, DC) as a research assistant and later on as a research & project manager. At Cato I was in charge of:

• Gathering, processing, and verifying the integrity of data used for research.

• Data creation, processing, modeling, and visualization for the Human Freedom Index that I still coauthor.

From 2011 to 2015, I worked as an economic researcher at Fundación Libertad (Rosario, Argentina) and was also a teaching assistant of Macroeconomics I at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario (Rosario, Argentina) from 2011 to 2013.

I hold a MS in Data Science from the George Washington University (United States), a MA in Political Sciences and Economics (thesis pending) from ESEADE (Argentina), and a BA in Economics from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario (Argentina).
